Coastal Bend residents have the opportunity to show their support to the community through the cosmetics they wear.
For the first time, Golddust Cosmetic Collective has created a makeup palette to support nine local organizations.
“Bend” is a unique palette with nine different shades of makeup. Each shade is named after the Museum, Agape Ranch, Charlie’s Place, Corpus Christi LULAC, Texas Higher Education Black Association, CASA, Corpus Christi VFW, Mother Teresa Shelter, or Purple Door.
“[Palette]was designed to give back to the community during times of difficulty in raising all sorts of funding due to the limited number of events,” said Tina Rain of Golddust. Cosmetic collective owner. “This is how my studio can continue to show our appreciation and the entire grade by creating a palette that recognizes our community.”
When all pallets are sold, each of the nine entities will be given the same amount.
Rein said a lot of thought and personal experience was spent deciding on the nine organizations to be listed on the palette.
“Living in a small community gives us the opportunity to inspire those who continue to do good and those who want to do it,” says Rain. “Every organization has contributed in some way to my life, both directly and indirectly. I wanted to thank the people who helped us to become our individuals. “
Each color in the palette is inspired by an organization named after its name, allowing residents to support their favorite organization in the most unique way.
“For example, the museum is known for its pink walls, so of course the palette color is bright pink,” Rain said. “Agape Ranch is a white shadow and the color adopted is white. The purple door is clearly bright purple. All colors are derivatives of what the entity represents or is synonymous with the organization.”
50 palettes are created and can be purchased at Gold Dust Cosmetic Collective or online for $ 25 each.
This is the first time Golddust has created a makeup palette to support the community, but Rain said more will come.
