Michael Strahan, a professional football hall of fame and host of “Good Morning America,” has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-quarantining, according to people familiar with the situation.
People spoke to the Associated Press on Wednesday subject to anonymity due to medical restrictions issues.
He is currently not experiencing any serious symptoms of COVID-19.
TMZ first reported a positive Strahan test.
Strahan is also working on the Fox NFL Sunday pre-game show, which appeared remotely during the NFC Championship Game last Sunday.
Strahan played in the NFL for 15 seasons, all of which played in the New York Giants. As a defensive lineman, he recorded 141.5 sack during his career and holds the sack’s NFL record in the 22.5 season.
