Currently, the largest wildfire in California is the Dixie fire, which burned more than 274,000 acres in Plumas County Butte. Thousands of firefighters are preparing for a tougher fight against the flames as the extremely dangerous weather can come back and stir up the explosive growth. According to officials, the area could be hot and dry with gusts of 40 mph on Wednesday and Thursday.

Fire officials said a large fire broke through several boundaries on Tuesday, prompting an additional evacuation order for about 15,000 people.
