The Wolf administration states that the “Back To Work PA” plan will focus on investing in businesses, workers and communities.
It builds on the recommendations made in last year’s Keystone Economic Development and Workforce Command Center report.

The plan includes the use of extraction taxes from the natural gas industry to fund the $ 3 billion plan, the Wolf administration said.
Dennis Davin, Executive Director of the Regional Economic Development Department, said in a news release: “The COVID-19 pandemic has hit our communities and businesses. Strengthening our workforce benefits our economy and thus our communities, and Back to Work PA is now and in the future. We will provide the important funding needed to meet the needs of Pennsylvania. “
The governor said he wanted to provide the resources and talents that a company needed to thrive and the skills that workers needed to succeed.
“Pennsylvania supports the community by helping the region’s reconstruction efforts in planning ways to better cope with future economic turmoil,” said Governor Wolf. “These investments will help us get back on track.”
The plan focuses on three initiatives: investing in the workforce, supporting strategic businesses and communities, and providing reliable broadband services to everyone throughout the state.
