Governor David Ige orders flags at half-staff in honor of National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service – Honolulu, Hawaii

HONOLULU (KHON2) —Governor David Ige ordered the state to lower the US and Hawaii flags with half the staff of all state offices and agencies, and the State Capitol, including the Hawaiian National Guard. From midnight Friday to Saturday, October 16th, Hawaii.

According to Ige, this action represents a memorial service for national peace officials in Washington, DC to honor law enforcement officers and their families who died on duty.

“Let’s pay tribute to the law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving communities across the country this weekend and remember the families they left behind,” said Ige.
