One in two victims was reported missing
KOIN, Oregon — A member of the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man suspected of being involved in the deaths of two men found in a burnt car last month.
Grants Pass’s Harley Boyts was arrested Thursday after traffic was stopped at Cave Junction on charges of murder, arson, corpse abuse, felony possession of firearms, and misuse of cars.
On the afternoon of March 24th Lawmakers found two bodies in a vehicle in which a fire was reported.. The car was in a secluded forest area about 7 miles south of Lake Selmac.
The two victims were later identified as Daniel T. Hill, 24, and Paul M. Folk, 26. Both were from Joseph County. According to JCSO, Fork was previously reported to the Grants Pass Public Security Bureau as missing.
The case is under investigation. The 26-year-old Boyts was subsequently imprisoned in Josephine County Jail.
