New Orleans, Louisiana 2021-09-16 11:10:00 –
That fall tradition-the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair-was missed last year as the pandemic returned.
“I feel it’s important to have an event this year,” said fair chairman Cliff Burton. “The COVID virus did not infect us last year, but it is now declining. After the Baton Rouge has passed, it’s time for the general public to enjoy it with their families.”
Entertainment, attractions, food, rides, fun and games are all back from October 28th to November. 7.
Music entertainment for the 55th Annual Event includes David St. Romain, Ole Sole Band, Justin McCain Project, Chris LeBlanc & Chris Roberts, Chubby Carrier’s Country, Rock, Latin, Cajun, Swamp Pop and Blues.
The fair will also bring back three of the most popular attractions: the Pages Globe of Death Motorcycle Stunt Show, Swifty Swine Pig Racing, and Noah’s Way Exotic Animal Petting Zoo.
Also, according to a news release, there are plenty of fair food and rides and games for children of all ages, along the biggest way in southern Louisiana.
The proceeds of the fair will be donated to the community in the form of grants, scholarships and sponsorships. The Fair Foundation has donated more than $ 4.2 million since launching the program in 1987.
