Greenville. SC (WSPA)-President of the South Carolina Aviation Association Greenville Downtown Airport today. As part of its Discovery Tour, Terry Connorton flies to all 58 public airports to identify its special qualities.
Robert Hoover, a GMU official, said the airport is safe and affiliated with the Greenville Fire Department. Vehicles equipped with water cannons are required to respond immediately to emergencies at the airport.
This morning the car sprayed water for the president’s arrival.
GMU is South Carolina’s busiest general aviation airport, with vehicles donated by the fleet that supported Greenville-Spartanburg Airport. Increased safety, playgrounds and cafes show the importance of the community.
