Greenville, South Carolina (WSPA) – The Greenville Swamp Rabbit Hockey team visited Gun Survivor’s Park on Wednesday to tour with park officials.
Swamp rabbit players and staff toured Cancer Survivor’s Park prior to the “Stick It To Cancer” game on May 1st at the Bonse Course Wellness Arena.
During the tour, players wore special black and pink gun-conscious jerseys. The jerseys worn in the game will be auctioned later for the benefit of the Cancer Survivor’s Park Alliance.
According to staff, the park offers a unique blend of gathering space and natural promenades, providing a place of renewal and healing for all visitors.
“I hope everyone will come out on May 1st to support the game. I hope they win, but more importantly, Cancer Survivors, Cancer Survivorship, and many more. It’s about bringing awareness to this beautiful space in the unfamiliar downtown of Greenville, and celebrating the survivors, “said Kay Roper, Executive Director of the Cancer Survivor’s Park Alliance.
The park stretches 6.8 acres along the Swan Prabbit Trail and aims to create space for celebration, learning, healing and hope.
