Beech Creek, Tennessee (WTVF) —Investigators have updated their ground survey efforts when 5-year-old Summerwell disappeared this week.

On Tuesday, the crew went out for the first time in a few months looking for a wooded area around Beach Creek’s Summers Home.

Initially, investigators considered the possibility that summer wandered from her home this June. Perhaps something happened to her in the woods.

But so far, there are no signs that something has been found.

On Wednesday, dozens of police officers on foot will continue their grid search in the hope of finding traces of their children. Twelve institutions, including two K-9 teams, support the search. In addition, the crew flew into the air looking for potential points of interest.

The crew continued their search for the missing Summerwell on November 30, 2021.

The area was previously searched, but it came back in June and July when overgrowth delayed efforts. Now, as the seasons change, it all declines, making landscapes and terrain more feasible.

Her mother told investigators that she was last seen at her home on Ben Hill Road on June 15. The surrounding homes and property have been searched many times. A diving team was brought in to look for waterways in the area.

The FBI and Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office are involved in the investigation.

Authorities will continue to receive tips on the disappearance of Summerwells at 1-800-TBI-FIND. The reward in this case is currently close to $ 60,000.
