Guns N’ Roses – Shepherd Express – Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Milwaukee, Wisconsin 2021-07-30 15:21:03 –

An unexpected reunion tour continues.

After reuniting for the first time since the 90’s in 2016, three of the five former Guns N’Roses members went on their way to the “Not In This Lifetime Tour.” Featuring Axl Rose on vocals, Slash on guitar, and Duff McKagan on bass, the three-and-a-half-year trek included a 2017 Milwaukee stop and generated approximately $ 600 million in revenue. Then why not continue?

When it comes to Summerfest, it’s easy to say.

Guns N’Roses was first booked to play the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on July 4th last year (before Coronavirus canceled the 2020 Big Gig), but Summerfest was in September. I changed the schedule on July 10, 2021 before changing the format to three weekends.

Rose, notorious for his unpredictable and irrational behaviour, wasn’t guaranteed to have Summerfest recommit a third time, but the organizers stopped it. In addition, Summerfest will be Guns N’Roses’ North American Summer Tour, the only performance not available at stadiums or arenas.

Recent setlists are heavily inclined to materials from the 1987s Desire for destruction: “Welcome to the jungle.” “Paradise City” “Sweet Child Omine” “Night Rain.” And why? The record is still the best-selling debut album in history, with over 30 million copies sold worldwide. Guns N’Roses is also reportedly working on a new album.

The artist holding the show may be a very good representation of the next generation of American rock. Wolfgang Van Halen (Daddy’s band and Eddie’s child who succeeded former bassist Michael Anthony) agreed with Mammoth WVH (Van Halen’s first band before becoming Van Halen) in June. ) Has released a self-titled debut album. On top of that, he plays all the instruments, sings all the vocals, provides a big chorus, and somehow doesn’t sound like someone you know.
