Guzman airs early ads in bid to stand out in crowded AG primary – Riverside, California

One of Republican’s main challengers to Attorney General Ken Paxton has begun television advertising earlier than usual, prominently in already crowded and controversial races.

Her campaign told the Texas Tribune. Her campaign said she intends to spend seven digits on such ads between now and the first day set on March 1.

Media purchases were one of the first known television ads of this kind in the 2022 state-wide contest, showing how active the competition to leave Paxton is already. In addition to Guzman, Paxton faces challenges from Republican George P. Bush, Texas General Land Office Commissioner, and Matt Krause, Fort Worth’s representative. Former President Donald Trump supported Paxton.
