Clovis, CA (KFSN)-Halloween is still a few weeks away, but some are already doing the tricks.

That’s what Sandy Letterman and her family have had a hard time learning.

Letterman and her three daughters, who recently moved from the Bay Area to Clovis, went on Halloween.

“The kids and I made it a fun event and spent a lot of time decorating here all night,” Letterman said.

The family has invested in Disney-themed Halloween decorations such as the ghost of Mickey Mouse, the inflatable “Zero” from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas, and the Halloween scene projector.

Letterman said all the decorations would cost her about $ 180.

Early Friday morning, someone stole an item from her front yard.

Sandy submitted a police report to the Clovis police, but she knows that the people who made her decorations are unlikely to be tracked.

“Unfortunately, during the holiday season from October to New Year, more and more ornaments are stolen from the front of the home and other ornaments,” Cpl said. Clovis Police and Kyle Kristenson.

He encourages people to get security cameras and floodlights in front of their homes. He also said that the thief could be stopped by firmly fixing the decoration.

Sandy and her family have not given up on their desire to take a vacation. She is trying to install a camera to prevent this from happening again.

“We don’t want these thieves to take away the spirit of our holidays,” Letterman said.
