Honolulu (KHON2) —Tuesday, the Hawaii State Public Library System (HSPLS) announced that the Hana Public School Library will be temporarily closed after employees have recently tested positive for COVID-19.
HSPLS said with due care that the library would be thoroughly cleaned. The scheduled reopening date is Thursday, September 16th.

“Since resuming public services in May 2020, all public library employees have worked hard to protect themselves, their colleagues and the community from exposure to this horrific virus,” said the state. Librarian Stacy Aldrich said. “Nevertheless, this alerts us all by following recommended safety protocols such as wearing masks, social distances and vaccinations to protect family, colleagues and communities.
