The statue of Lord Hanuman housed in the Vatika is 75 feet tall and it is housed in an extensive 13 acres of land. It was built by Sri Lakshman Swami of Hyderabad. It was inaugurated in the year 1994 by the then Chief Minister of Odisha, Biju Patnaik. It is a beautiful garden temple. It was setup by Hanuman Vatika Trust. This place isn’t given much importance by the Odisha Tourism Department. But still this very spot is a place of national importance. It is known for its calm and serene environment. The various temples housed inside this complex are equally very famous. Prasad is also available within the complex. One can buy this Prasad which is sold in packets in here. Apart from this one can also find a number of shops lined outside Hanuman Vatika. These shops sell items essential for puja rituals, sweets etc. One can buy these items from these shops and go and offer their offerings to the temples housed in the Hanuman Vatika.

Other Temples in Hanuman Vatika

Hanuman Vatika comprises a total of 18 temples housed in it. There exists temples of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Batta Mangala Devi, Sarala Devi Temple, Jagannath Temple, Laxmi Temple and another temple of Santoshi Mata. Recently the temple of Sai Baba has become very popular among the tourists. The statue of Sai Baba housed in this very temple resembles the statue housed in the famous Shirdi Sai Baba temple. A large number of tourists come to visit this temple on a daily basis.

There also exists a hall meant for accommodating public gatherings and functions. This is known as the Kalyan Mandap. Various social functions like marriage, Bratostaba, Ekoishia etc. are celebrated in here. Visitors when on a trip to this place visit all these temples. These temple are beautifully made and reflect the modern style of architecture of temples. These temples are adorned with beautiful idols of gods, goddesses and ornamented in a unique fashion. There also exists a statue of Lord Shiva along with his consort, goddess Parvati and their son Ganesh. These idols aren’t very huge like the Hanuman statue housed in here. The temples are painted in bright and bold colours. The entire complex reflects divinity.
