South Kingstown, RI (AP) — A professor at Harvard Medical School teaches at the University of Rhode Island about medical disparities affecting people with disabilities.
According to a URI statement, an online lecture by Dr. Lisa Jezoni, part of the university honor student Colloquium, will take place on October 27th.
Iezzoni has conducted numerous studies for the US Department of Health Research and Quality, the National Institutes of Health, Medicare institutions, and private foundations focused on improving the medical experience and quality of adults with disabilities.
Iezzoni also spends a lot of time defending people with disabilities.
Lectures are open to the public for free.
