Harvey’s Christmas Yard Art will be available from October 17th.
“We only do Christmas because it takes a year to draw, cut and paint every pattern,” says Harvey Fogle.
His latest work is an ode to the Grinch who stole Christmas. This is a character that is almost sold out 24 hours before it goes on sale.
“It’s exciting! It’s really true to know that people are enjoying your job and wanting to buy your job,” Fogle said.
The creators of Harvey’s Christmas Yard Art began making these signs 12 years ago. Retired truck drivers picked it up as a hobby.
“I didn’t want to be a couch potato, so I wanted to do something,” Fogle said.
After being aired on the ABC30 Localish segment, his inventory, which gained national support, includes all 160 patterns, from Gingerbread Man to Santa.
“It exploded. It went crazy. I was ordering from an interview around March last year,” Harvey said.
Harvey’s wife Mary says this is not a job, but a labor of love.
“We sat down a bit and roughened it. I thought he made and sold these projects and earned $ 1.50 an hour throughout the year,” Mary said.
Sales usually start on Saturday after Veterans Day, but after increased demand, early demands, and those who are a little too late, they start a month early.
Customers will be able to stop at Marks & Acacia in northwestern Fresno from October 17th. Fogles asks you to wear a mask and practice social distance.
Harvey’s Christmas Yard Art will be on sale from 10am to 4pm.
