Honolulu, Hawaii 2021-06-20 00:55:00 –

Hawaii County Police said a fatal shot by a 31-year-old man who allegedly cut his forearm with a knife on Friday morning while police were searching Hiro’s house after a security alarm was triggered. This morning, I released the image of the camera I wore.

The footage begins with a view of the empty bedroom, then slowly pans to the policemen who flock in front of the partially open doorway they were trying to open. You can see a policeman trying to turn the bedroom door handle. The bedroom was the only locked room and the last area that three police officers had to clear.

One policeman uses his shoulders to open the door, enter, immediately scream in pain, and then the bullets ring one after another.

This video was taken of a policeman who raised a gun from the hallway in front of the bedroom toward the living room, shouting “fire, fire”.

According to police, an injured police officer attacked with two knives can be heard in a moaning video. A fellow policeman came to help, and the footage shows a policeman with a gun saying to the bedroom, “Get him out, get him out.”

“I need an ambulance,” shouts one of the police.

“I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine, oh, I’m fine,” the injured police officer tells a colleague.

Outside the house, a gun-held policeman asks an injured policeman, “Is he still there?” Mention the suspect. “He’s down,” the injured officer replied.

The camera shows a bloody policeman with a pistol on the ground on one knee in front of the carport and a cut on his right forearm.

“I got you, I got you,” said a fellow policeman unraveling the orange tourniquet and the policeman’s upper right arm while blood continued to drip onto the pavement. Tie it around the biceps. “It will hurt.”

Police wore a body camera, but police said footage from the injured police was not recovered. No actual footage is provided.

Police are investigating why the policeman’s camera did not record. The officer was treated at the Hilo Medical Center and released.
