The Honolulu Fire Department today announced that the free “Say Yes!” Is gone. The COVID-19 Home Challenge Test Kit is in high demand and has supply and shipping issues.
Additional kits will not arrive in Hawaii until next week.

A total of 1 million tests were provided to Oahu residents with qualified zip codes. Each kit contains 8 rapid antigen tests that are used twice a week for 4 weeks. Approximately 80,000 kits, or 640,000 tests, were quickly snapped up online for home delivery.
HFD planned to distribute approximately 3,000 at four drive-through pop-up COVID-19 test sites in the parking lots of Aloha Stadium, Ewa Mahiko District Park, Waianae District Park and Kapolei Consolidated Theater.

“The test kit is currently unavailable due to high demand,” said the posted message. “New inventory is expected by the beginning of the week of October 11th.”
