Honolulu (KHON2) — Police on the Big Island closed the Queen Kaahumanu Highway between Henry Street and Nani Kailua Drive on Saturday, June 19, due to flood conditions and debris.
Authorities reported that the road was closed at 8:39 pm on Saturday.

According to police, the flood caused debris to flow into the road.
Authorities advise drivers to use a different route.
Flood recommendations were issued to North and South Kona at 8 pm on Saturday. Officials said the conditions were suitable for flash floods and advised Hawaiians to stay away from lowlands and poorly drained areas.
