Robert Kekaula, whose oversized personality and generosity made him one of Hawaii’s most famous personalities, has died.
Kekaula was an assistant news director for KITV on the University of Hawaii football television and a live announcer for Spectrum Sports.

News of Kekaura’s death spread nationwide. Larry Bale, who first hired Kekaura as a KGMB intern, emotionally remembered his best friend.
