Hawaii National Park (KHON2) — From 9am to 5pm on Saturday, October 30th, visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (HVNP) on Halloween weekend in a pop-up tent at the Kilauea Visitor Center near the bus parking lot. Go to Kahuku from 9am to 4pm on Sunday, October 31st to pick up your Halloween Scavenger Hunt Bingo Card.
Explore the trails in Ohana while in the national park, get a “Bingo” and return to your tent or visitor contact station to get a treat bag from the Hawaii Pacific Parks Association.

According to HVNP, everyone in Ohana has free admission to the park if they have a fourth grade in their family. Complete your online activity. www.everykidoutdoors.gov Print out a paper voucher and take it to the park in exchange for your 4th grade pass.
According to HVNP, this pass will provide free access to fourth graders and their associated more than 2,000 federal recreation areas until the end of August 2022.
Finally, HVNP said that if a fourth-grade family couldn’t go to the National Park this Halloween weekend, they would qualify for an “EveryKid Outdoors” pass throughout the year.
HVNP encourages families without fourth grade to participate in the park. In the Kilauea Summit area, park admission or passes apply and Kahuku is always free.

Teachers and home schoolers can set up a park ranger to virtually visit the classroom by sending an email to havo_education @ nps.gov. According to HVNP, rangers are ready for distance learning programs, tailoring them to their curriculum needs and allowing them to make virtual Hawaii (voyages) from the park.
