UH freshman Kate Lang started with a setter and carried out Wahine’s attack, hitting UCR’s .090 with .320 with 25-21, 25-19 and 25-16 wins.
Igiede hit a match-high .524 in 21 attempts, external batters Brooke Van Sickle and Riley Wagoner each scored 9 kills, and Braelyn Akana added 6 kills. Senior middle blocker Skyler Williams returned to the starting lineup, finishing with 5 kills and 7 blocks, improving UH to 4-5 overall.

Wahine placed four blocks, controlled the second set, and ended up with a Wagoner kill.
UH commanded the third set with a surge of 11-3, including three Vansickle kills. Wahine finished the match in the 11th block as Williams and Akana teamed up online.
UH played without injured freshmen outside the batters Mia Johnson and Anica de Guede who did not travel.
UH continued its road trip at UC Davis on Saturday and swept at UCR on Tuesday to start the meeting schedule.
