Hazelwood, Missouri (KMOV.com) – All students and employees in the Hazelwood School District require a face mask.
In a statement on Tuesday, new task force leader Dr. Clay Dunagan said the current crisis could be mitigated by mask and vaccination efforts, unlike the previous surge.
The 2021-202 academic year begins directly on August 23rd. The school district said it would not offer a hybrid or virtual model at the beginning of the school year. However, the state-owned Missouri Course Access Program is a virtual school option that families can pursue.
The district requires masking for everyone, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status. The district said that about 600 employees and 250 students were fully vaccinated as part of the Help Hazelwood Get Healthy campaign.
