Marietta, OklahomaKFOR) – The Heartland Flyer train collided with a car carrier trailer caught on a railroad track on Friday night.
The collision occurred at US 77 Addington Bend Road around 7 pm.
A spokesman for the Love County Sheriff’s Office said the trailer was stuck on a railroad track and could not be moved.
Sheriff office officials tried to contact the train driver to warn them that the carrier trailer was clogged, but could not stop the train on time.
According to PIO, the train collided with a carrier trailer, splitting it in half and flying the car everywhere.
The trailer driver was not injured.
Four people on the train were taken to Mercy Health and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
