MCCANDLESS (KDKA) – On Sunday evening, a storm with strong winds and rain struck the area, causing floods and fallen trees.
For homeowners with McCandless, it caused trees to fall and collide with their roofs.
The tree has come down to a 9600 block house on Old Kummer Road.
As a result of the fallen trees, branches and debris were scattered in the gardens and roads.
The other houses were unaffected and it is unknown if anyone was inside when the tree fell.
On the north side, trees have fallen to the beech avenue house.
In Lawrenceville, heavy rain struck parked cars in and around Penn Avenue.
Strong winds and rain also uprooted trees in the backyard of KDKA meteorologist Mary Hours and removed part of the fence.
As the video by KDKA photographer Dan Vojtko shows, one of Ross Township’s backyards wasn’t as expected as the strong winds took the trampoline and turned it upside down.
