Kansas City, Missouri (KCTV)-Retail giant Amazon says it aims to fill its 150,000 season jobs with about 1,000 people in the Kansas City region.

According to Amazon, jobs average start hourly wages of $ 18, sign-on bonuses of up to $ 3,000, and an additional $ 3 per hour, depending on shifts in many places.

The company seeks full-time and part-time assistance with flexible time and a variety of responsibilities.

Ofori Agboka, Amazon’s Vice President of Global Operations and Human Resources Development, said: “We welcome people of all backgrounds.”

Agboka says it needs to hire thousands more seasonal workers than last year as it added more than 250 fulfillment centers and more than 100 new distribution stations over the past year.
