Here’s where you can drop off tree limbs after last week’s snowstorm – Aurora, Colorado

The storms that moved across Colorado on Fridays and Saturdays provided a much welcomed dampness, but trees and large branches that already had foliage and could not support the heavy damp snow fell.

Below is a list of places around the Denver Metro area where you can unload these tree branches. Be sure to check the website before you go, as the date and time may change and restrictions may apply.

Location: North Area Athletic Complex (19500 W. 64th Parkway) and Stenger Sports Complex (11200 W. 58th Avenue)
When: May 28-29, 9 am-3pm at the North Area Athletic Complex. June 18th at the Stenger Sports Complex from 8am to 2pm.
Additional Information: You must show evidence that you live in Alvada. We do not accept tree stumps, garden trash, cut grass, fences or trash. You have to lower the limbs of your own tree.

Location: Raleigh Park (1001 N. Dayton Street)
When: May 23-May 30 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Additional Information: This dropoff is for tree branches only.

Where: Cherry Crispy Cycling Drop Off Center (Near E. Cherry Creek Drive South and S. Quebec Street)
Dates: Tuesday-Friday 10 am-4:30pm, Saturday 9 am-3pm Sundays and Mondays, and city holidays are closed.
Other information: click here For a list of licensed and insured tree management contractors. The Cherry Creek Cycling Dropoff is free and available only to Denver residents. If you need to urgently remove a fallen tree or branch and clear the street, call 311. Denver’s Transportation Infrastructure Department collects branches as part of an additional garbage collection service, but this has its limitations. Customers can set up to 10 bundles of branches cut to a diameter of 4 inches or less and a length of 4 feet or less. It weighs less than 50 pounds.

Location: Centennial Park (4630 S. Decatur Street)
Dates: May 24th, 7am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm, May 25th, 7am to noon
Additional Information: There is a drop-off on the north side of Centennial Park.

Where: Erie Recycling Center1000 Briggs Street
Date and time: Open all year round from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Additional Information: This drop-off requires proof of residence.

Location: CO93 and Golden Gate Canyon Road
When: 9 am-4pm
Additional Information: This site will remain open during normal business hours for the next few weeks.

Highlands Lunch
Location: Parking lot south of Halftime Help Stadium in Redstone Park (3280 Redstone Park Circle)
When: May 23-June 12
Additional Information: All limbs and branches are recycled in mulch. This is a different place than regular spring and autumn events. Tree branches should be less than 12 inches in diameter. Lumbers, leaves, grass clippings, and roots are not accepted. It is only available to residents of Highlands Ranch. For more information, please contact 303-791-2710.

Location: Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 W. 6th Avenue, Frontage Road
When: May 23-28, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Additional Information: Residents need to unload their tree branches, which must be less than 6 inches in diameter. This is not for commercial use.

Location: War Memorial Rose Garden (5804 South Bemis Street)
Dates: May 23, 3 pm to 6 pm, May 24 and 26, 7 am to 7 pm
Additional Information: This site only collects branches and tree debris, not other garden waste. If you have any questions, please call Littleton Street Maintenance (303-795-3969). The branches are rooted.

Location: 1200 Courtesy Road (enter from the south gate entrance)
Dates: May 23, 8 am to noon, May 24, 26, 27, 8 am to 3 pm, May 25, 8 am to 6:30 pm, May 28 to 29 9 am-5pm June 4-5pm 9 am-5pm
Additional Information: This is only available to residents of Louisville. The regular branch recycling site will resume normal business hours on the first weekend of June (north of the Louisville Cemetery on Empire Road). If you have any questions, please call City Forester (303-335-4733).

Location: Thornton Infrastructure Maintenance Center (12450 Washington Street)
When: June 11th, 8am to noon
Additional Information: Use the north entrance to access the center. Residents of Thornton are free to bring branches, limbs, and compostable materials. A residence certificate is required.

Location: Westminster Open Space Building (10001 Alkire St.)
When: May 28-29, 8 am-noon
Additional Information: This lot is scheduled for normal monthly operation from June 11th to noon on the second Saturday of every month. This is for Westminster residents only. Tree branches should be less than 20 inches in diameter.

Wheat Ridge
Location: Anderson Park (4355 Field Street, East Parking)
Date and time: May 23-25, 7 am-noon
Other information: N / A
