Honolulu (KHON2) — The Honolulu Fire Department rescued two missing hikers on the Waimano Falls Trail on Oahu on Saturday, June 12.
Just before 2 pm, the rescue team went to the Pearl City trail.
Two 17-year-old women started around 11:00 am
They were heading for the waterfall via Manana Ridge.
After they were lost and there was no cell signal, they decided to move to higher ground.
When they received the cell signal on the hill, they sought help.
The HFD helicopter found two women shortly before 2:30 pm and was airlifted for safety.
The hiker was not injured.
