Honolulu (KHON2) —Father’s Day is approaching, and the Domestic Violence Action Center is accepting donations to honor his father.
The drive-by donation site was held in Kakaako on Saturday, June 12, as part of the organization’s “Big $ 5 for Dads” campaign.

People were encouraged to donate more than $ 5 to support and educate against domestic violence.
“It’s dangerous if you’re an abusive partner or a prisoner of a parent. On the other hand, a good dad is now doing what he can to keep his family safe in collaboration with a good mom.”
Nancy Clademan, CEO of Domestic Violence Action Center
“And most of the time, men are the perpetrators, so we have to let them know. Don’t hit your wife or girlfriend,” said Honolulu prosecutor Steve Alm. I did. “Stop trying to control them. Be a good role model for your child.”
