Centennial State will celebrate its 145th anniversary on Sunday, August 1st. The History Colorado Center (1200 N. Broadway) in downtown Denver brings together more than 20 partner attractions to proudly create a spectacular holiday for this important occasion. Sponsored by Denver7.

Free admission to the Colorado Women’s History Center in Denver, the El Pueblo History Museum in Pueblo, the Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center in Fort Garland, and the Utu Indian Museum in Montrose. Pre-registration is now available for visitor time and details.

Arts and crafts, balloons, ice cream, popcorn and trivia quizzes are just the corner of the shaved ice of the Carnivalesque gathering at the beautiful history Colorado Center, perfect for the entire state. Guests attending the Colorado Festival can also partner with Colorado Proud to enjoy the launch of the new monthly Heritage Produce Basket at the History Colorado Center. These baskets of fresh root vegetables, bulbs, peppers, florets and leafy vegetables highlight historic recipes, favorites from staff and volunteers, and one of the basket ingredients from the museum’s Cafe Rendezvous Chef Nick. Recipes to do are participating every month.

The Colorado Women’s History Center, right next to the Colorado History Center, offers a free walk-in open house from 1:30 pm to 4 pm. Pre-registration for the History Colorado Center celebration is highly recommended as guests can skip long lines to enter.
