Holiday traveling, and safety protocols – Tulsa, Oklahoma

Tulsa, Oklahoma 2020-11-25 04:25:43 –

Tulsa, Oklahoma-Turkey’s day is approaching. Hundreds of people travel to meet family and friends outside Oklahoma as many are preparing to celebrate their holidays.

Tulsa International expects 2,500 people to pass TSA today in 2Works for You. This is 50% less than last year, but 15% more than last week.

The director of aviation services and marketing says the change is due to Covid-19 and a suspension of travel, but Andrew Perini of Tulsa International and many others see things start to turn around. I am excited.

“It’s good to see an increase in travel again. People are slowly starting to travel again. People are traveling safely like this week as they make sure the airport is clean and disinfected. You can do it, “says Perini.

According to Perini, today and Sunday after Thanksgiving are the busiest days of the year for Tulsa International Airport.

He says don’t forget your mask when you head to the airport, and make sure you keep a social distance.

If you haven’t been to the airport for a while, there are some new safety protocols to follow.
