Lake Tahoe (CBS13) – The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is looking for evidence after the murder crime scene in the Lake Tahoe basin has been virtually left empty.

70-year-old Robert Spohr was found dead at his home in Westlake Boulevard on Saturday.

“I don’t know who did this, and why … I couldn’t imagine this happening to my parents,” Robert Spohr’s daughter Adrian Spohr said in a statement released at CBS13. I am writing in.

“I found an image of a man who was there in about the same time frame,” said Lieutenant Resendez.

The sheriff’s office showed a surveillance photo released to local Rick Braun on Lake Tahoe.

“People with sweaty backpacks and flannel jackets are common for Tahoe,” he said.

Brown’s restaurant is just a few miles from the crime scene.

“It’s not a crime-prone area,” Brown said, and such murders are almost incredible. “I was very surprised to hear about what happened. It’s a very close community where we all care about each other and everyone is concerned about each other and their well-being.”

Investigators say the community has no reason to worry, as this was probably not a random attack.
