Honolulu (KHON2) — Honolulu Ocean Safety Lifeguards rescued a total of five people in two separate incidents on Saturday, July 17, at Chinawall.
According to officials, the first rescue incident occurred when three swimmers were hit by waves on a rock and needed to save money around 1:15 pm on Saturday.
The lifeguard responded with a jet ski and was able to take three suffering swimmers to the shore. One of the three swimmers in need of help was evaluated by medical personnel but refused further treatment, officials said.
According to the Honolulu Emergency Services Department, three swimmers, all men, were with a group of three others who were able to get out of the water on their own.
The second rescue incident occurred on Saturday at about 2:30 pm on Chinawall when a patrol lifeguard rescued two other suffering swimmers after they were unable to reach the shore. Occurred in.
