Police then said they received cash from the cash register and ran away on foot.
Later that day, police arrested one of the suspects, 19 on charges of one robbery. The other suspects remain in large numbers.
Another armed robbery incident occurred on Kuhio Avenue about 20 minutes ago.
Police said a 30-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk around 3:30 am when a golden Ford Sport utility vehicle carrying about four crew members approached him.
According to police, a man got out of the car, swung a gun, and demanded property. He tried to bring a man’s backpack, but the struggle continued.
Police said the suspect returned to the SUV without a backpack and the vehicle ran away.
The suspect was described as having long black hair and a slim figure. At the time of the robbery, he wore a light-colored sweater and a black face mask.
Police said there were no arrests at this time in the Kuhio Avenue robbery case.
