Honolulu’s Rental and Utility Relief Program temporarily closes – Honolulu, Hawaii

Honolulu, Hawaii 2021-05-04 00:10:00 –

The Honolulu City and County Rental and Utility Relief Program has temporarily closed new applications approximately 20 minutes later today to process 4,000 applications in this round.

The portal will resume on June 7th for the next application round. In the future, we will reopen on the first Monday of every month as long as funds are available.

The person who started the application must continue to submit the application materials using the personal account created.

In the first four weeks, the program approved $ 4.8 million in rent and utility subsidies for nearly 600 Oahu households.

Once the acceptance of new applications is temporarily suspended, the city and its community partners will be able to process and approve the application and issue approved payments to the landlord and utility company.
