Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) — East Nashville praises men who are accustomed to giving the community a random taste.
Tony Gooch is known in the community for riding his neon bike around the town while blasting some songs. But when the Girl Scout’s cookie time comes, his love for the community is demonstrated by distributing delicious treats.
Earlier this month, Gooch was cruising the Eastland Kroger parking lot as he approached Army 314, which was outside the cookie-selling entrance on a rainy night. Gooch asked the military how many boxes were left and said he wanted to get the girls out of the rain.
He bought all the remaining boxes, an estimated 30 boxes, and distributed them to shoppers.
Mom Jenny Alexander Martin said her daughter and friends were working to sell cookies when Gooch made a sweet purchase.
“The looks of their faces … they never forget your kindness and the coolness around you! Pay in advance!”
Girl Scouts said they did the same for the same unit last year, calling Mr. Gooch an honorary Girl Scout.
