Holly County, South Carolina (WBTW) – Members of the Holly County Council will meet on Tuesday to discuss several topics, including time limits for construction throughout the county.

Councilor Johnny Vort said there were many complaints from the people living in the county.

At the meeting on Tuesday, the council also approves officer Jacob Hancher. Hancher was a police officer at Myrtle Beach. He was killed in October 2020. It is the recognition and dedication to the hunter who has made the ultimate sacrifice in his job.

“Basically, when something happens, like what happened to this officer, we try to recognize him and his family in monuments and resolutions for his service and service to the county.” Said Voat.

Mr. Vort said the council will also discuss flood protection measures passed at the last council meeting.

It shows where people can build new developments and how many people need to lay the groundwork for a home to prevent it from flooding. However, at last week’s meeting, some council members demanded amendments to current measures.

“I realized that there were some flaws that I thought I needed to address. I could get it before the minutes were read and I could get it for review, And it passed the recommendations in some areas that we felt needed some modifications, “Vaught said.

Members of the council will also talk about future land use maps for the Imagine 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
