On this week’s Thanksgiving holiday, we wanted to help you and your fellow neighbors and share some of the best ways to help others during this difficult time.
During the coronavirus pandemic, national food banks and pantry are still struggling. Log on to feedingamerica.org to learn how to find and donate your local food bank. The Red Cross encourages people to make and maintain future promises to give blood and platelets. For those who have been infected with the virus, the Red Cross is seeking plasma donations. To make a reservation, visit redcrossblod.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS to find a local donation site.
Check in to an elderly person in your neighborhood and offer grocery help, or call a friend or family member who has children at home to help with a day’s virtual activities. Remember that we are all together.
Let’s take a look at some of the organizations we recommend during this holiday season.
