There are plenty of opportunities to buy gifts on Black Friday, but finding a place where the money you spend stays in our neighborhood can be difficult.

After Black Friday, here’s how to shop locally and support locally grown color entrepreneurs.

Support Milwaukee NNS today

Sherman Phoenix All Black Friday Features products from black entrepreneurs in the Milwaukee region. The event will take place on Friday, November 26th, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Sherman Phoenix on 3536 W. Fondo Durack Avenue. For more information, please email us.

Bronzeville Collective MKE It also hosts the Black Friday Market featuring over 30 Black, Brown, Queer and Ally brands. The market will be held on Friday, November 26th, from noon to 5 pm at 339 W. North Ave, the location of the Bronzeville Collective in the Haramby district. Learn more about. here..

NS XChange The event space will host a market for Black Friday and Brown entrepreneurs and creative items on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Please drop in and join us from November 26th (Friday) to 27th (Saturday) from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.More information available here..

Harold S. Vincent High SchoolWith a focus on agriculture, the MPS School hosts a maker market featuring items grown or manufactured by students, from popcorn packets to lip balms to houseplants. The market will be held at 7501 N. Granville Rd from 4 pm to 6 pm on December 8, 9, 15 and 16th.More information available here..

NS Lottery Tea Holiday MarketOffering the opportunity to meet and support local entrepreneurs featuring products from Sherman Phoenix companies and Kujichaglia Producers Cooperative. The market is 3536W from noon to 5pm on Sunday, December 19th. It will be held at Sherman Phoenix on Fondo Durack Avenue. Diva Kesena Armon provides live music.

MKE Black Is a non-profit organization that provides a directory of black-owned businesses in the Milwaukee region.That app, available hereGuides you all year round to black-owned companies and organizations that offer everything from mental health resources to catering.

Bronze box Offers a collection of treats, all sourced from a local black-owned company, and 20% of the profits go to MKE Black. Vegan options are available. Some boxes will not be available after Thursday, November 25th.Orde here..

Metcalfe Park Community Bridge We are holding a gift drive for the residents of Metcalf Park. From now until December 8th, pick an item from your organization’s wishlist and donate it to the residents of Metcalf Park to spread the holiday cheers.Wish list can be found here..

NS Gerald L. Ignas Indian Health Center We hold toy drives for indigenous children under the age of 18. The toy drive will take place on December 16th from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Interested parents are required to register by 9 December and submit a proof of at least one child living in the residence, the parent’s tribal ID and a letter. Or evidence of native offspring.
