Ohio Auburn (WJW) – FOX 8I team I learned that the ice rink in the pond passed the inspection and was reopened three days later. High levels of carbon monoxide were detected in the facility.

Auburn Fire Chief Mike Caldaman told Team I Wednesday that the facility had addressed the gas company’s problems, passed inspections and installed a CO detector.

“They are now open,” said Caldaman.

After high levels of carbon monoxide were found in the facility, three were taken to the hospital and several were evacuated from the ice rink on Sunday afternoon.

The case was investigated by the fire department and gas company.
