‘I’m Good:’ Chiefs head coach Andy Reid shows up at practice using a cane – Wichita, Kansas

Kansas City, Missouri (WDAF) — Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid surprised everyone when he appeared Thursday morning at the team’s mini-camp with a cane.

The video shows Big Red using a cane when interacting with Patrick Mahomes and other players during practice.

When asked about it after practice, Coach Reed didn’t elaborate too much.

“I’m fine. I reached 60 and things started to hurt, but I’m fine,” Reed said.

The head coach seemed much more excited to talk to the team about what he saw during the minicamp than his illness.

Reed performed a knee replacement in 2015. After the 2015-2016 season, Reed said the knee had to be removed and replaced due to an infection.
