Imagine Dragons’ Tyler Robinson Foundation raises $2.6M – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas (KTNV) —The 7th Annual Rise Up Gala has raised more than $ 2.6 million for the Tyler Robinson Foundation.

Organized by actor and comedian Joel McHale, the sold-out event took place at the Wynn Las Vegas outdoor pavilion, with 660 guests attending with a surprise and exclusive performance by the band Imagine Dragons.

The Grammy-winning band’s nonprofit is behind a TRF organization dedicated to helping families facing the diagnosis of childhood cancer.

Lead singer Dan Reynolds has promised TRF a $ 50,000 donation if guests are willing to sing “Radio Active” on stage. According to an event spokesperson, Reno’s TRF ambassador Cooper Sandoval picked up the mic and played the band’s hit single.

In addition, Rise Up Gala honored those who made significant contributions to TRF by making direct personal efforts, supporting philanthropy, or raising public awareness of childhood cancer. This year’s winners include TRF Community Impact winner Intermountain Healthcare, Team TRF winner Richard Runtime Elementary School, and TRF Legacy Award winners Matthew Frazier and John C. The Kish Foundation was included.

Over the past eight years, TRF has served the childhood cancer community, supported more than 2,000 families and raised more than $ 12 million, according to an event press release.
