Chelsea, Massachusetts. (WHDH)-The duty of indoor masks came into effect in Chelsea on Friday morning.
NS Chelsea Health Commission issues mandate“Masks and face coverings are one of the most effective ways to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.”
This order applies to anyone over the age of 2 who visits a public space in a private company or public building.
According to the Health Commission, in restaurants, bars and dance venues, customers can only uncover their faces if they are actively eating and drinking. The mask must be worn when ordering and when on the dance floor.
This order does not apply to outsiders, performers 6 feet away from customers, those who pose a health risk to wearing a mask, or children under the age of two.
Maskman dates were already in place at Chelsea City Hall, Chelsea Public Library, Chelsea Senior Center, and Chelsea Public School.
