Despite a slight setback, Infiniti is pushing for the launch of the all-new 2021QX55. As a coupe version of the Infiniti QX50 luxury compact crossover, the QX55 is set to compete with the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC coupe. Originally scheduled for debut on November 11, it has now been rescheduled on November 17 and announced through a teaser set from the brand’s official Facebook page.
As part of the announcement, the Infiniti QX55 will be announced by American singer-songwriter Egbert Nathaniel Dawkins III (also known as Aloe Blacc).
Infiniti wants to set reminders for online events, even when creating official event pages on social media platforms. The event page also shows another teaser for revealing. This, of course, marks the rear end of a plunging coupe crossover. You can see the last teaser in the image above this page.
This is not the first time we have seen this C-pillar, as the previous teaser showed the trailing edge with a blurry representation of its sleek roofline. As a matter of fact, I actually saw the vehicle last year, but the details are very few.
The relationship between the QX55 and QX50 suggests a 2.0-liter in-line 4-cylinder engine with a variable compression turbocharger. The mill produces 268 horsepower (200 kW) and 280 lb-ft (380 Newton meters of torque) and is delivered to the front wheels or all fours, depending on availability at launch. A continuously variable transmission is also expected.
Within a few days, you’ll find out more about the all-new Infiniti QX55 crossover. The launch will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 5:55 pm (PST) and will air on Marche’s official YouTube channel.
