Corpus Christi, Texas – At today’s regular city council meeting, mayor Peter Zanoni provided the city council with second-quarter updates on the city’s infrastructure management plans.

The plan includes a list of neighborhoods, highways, and pick-up areas for street maintenance work completed as part of the city’s street maintenance program. IMP is a five-year rolling program focused on maintaining Corpus Christi Street.

The city council approved the first two years of the program in October 2020, and in December 2020, the city council approved the subsequent fiscal year, 2023-2025.

Summarizing the results for the first and second quarters of 2021, a total of 132 projects were either under design, under construction, or completed. Eighty-three projects have been completed, bringing the total to 55.5 lane miles.

During the course of the annual budget, the IMP will be submitted to the city council for review and approval of the 2026 road list. Once the city’s annual budget is adopted, the IMP will be updated on the city’s website.
