Interfaith virtual vigil held by Tri-Faith Initiative after capitol violence – Omaha, Nebraska

Omaha, Nebraska (KMTV) — A prayer for peace was offered here in Omaha as the turmoil in the Capitol began to subside.

The Tri-Faith Initiative has organized prayer rallies for the country on Zoom, Facebook and YouTube.

Alerts included short lectures, music, and prayers by Christian, Muslim, and Jewish leaders.

Some have talked about the importance of unity in these times.

“It will take us all together to decide how to move forward, one of our darkest days,” said Rabbi Diana Sasman Beresin of the Temple of Israel. ..

One of the speakers talked about working in the Capitol and offered a special prayer to his ex-colleague.
