NS. LOUIS (KMOV.com)-NGA’s new western headquarters, built in northern St. Louis, is expected to spur economic development. The $ 1.75 billion project on 97 acres of land lies north of Cass Avenue, between Jefferson Avenue and 22nd Avenue.
The area surrounding the project is full of vacant and corrupt homes and has not received much attention for many years. But that has changed due to large-scale construction projects, and despite the pandemic, interest remains high.
News 4 spoke with Antione Lawrence and Mark Butler of Hybrid Real Estate.
“We’ve made a lot of phone calls about the area, and clients who own real estate in the area are watching how development goes,” Lawrence said.
“Most people interested in the region are looking for an investment. I’ve been in the real estate industry for over a decade, but I wasn’t really interested in that area until NGA announced it.” Butler said. ..
Sales of 63106 zip code homes, including NGA sites, have been flat for the past three years, but have increased over the last 90 days.
Butler and Lawrence said they hadn’t heard anything from NGA employees looking for a new home. This may be understandable as the project is not expected to be ready for employees to move in until 2025.
