Fairfield, Iowa (AP) — Two teenagers in southeastern Iowa have been charged with one murder and a plot to murder after the death of a high school Spanish teacher.

A 16-year-old boy has been accused of killing Nohema Graber in Fairfield earlier this month. In a prosecution document filed on Monday, the suspect also waived his right to a speedy trial. This means that the prosecutor does not have to go to court within 90 days of the formal accusation on November 12.

Teens are waiting for the judge to decide whether to reduce the $ 1 million deposit to give them the opportunity to be released before the trial.
