Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) —The proposed development in West Nashville is being counterattacked by some residents. The Crescent Community is considering building a 277-unit condominium and is trying to rezone the area for residential use with Lions Head Village.

“Everyone knows that Nashville is currently short of housing, so we’re running out of housing, so we’re bringing 277 luxury condominiums into the area to provide top-notch retail components and even greens. We are considering actually adding a way to celebrate, as well, “said Henry Menge of the Crescent Community.

The people behind “Novel Lions Head” will be billed as a smart development at the retail store on the ground floor, making it a place where more people can live, walk and enjoy the Nashville corridor in the extension of Richland. The Creek Greenway states that it will strengthen the dynamics of the region in order to.

“This is an important part of our proposal, extending access to the multi-storey car park so far to the front of the project and creating direct pedestrian access to the official sidewalk sign, Whitebridge Road. There is a fountain, which may even create additional parking in the parking lot, “Menge explained.

Some neighbors are upset by the proposal.

“It will just add more and more traffic,” said Susan Philips.

Philips has lived in Lions Head Condo for over 20 years.

“Go to Trader Joe’s … it’s all over the wall,” Phillips said.

She watched Nashville evolve and dealt directly with the growing pain.

“Traffic is getting worse and worse,” she continued.

She calls the proposed development “ridiculous” and says the project is simply too big for space.

“If they change the zoning, it would be scary.”

Menge says they are working together to listen to community concerns before moving forward.

“Look, there’s a lot of change in Nashville right now. It’s difficult. We admit it. That’s why we really appreciate all the feedback and collaboration with the community,” he said. Told. “We don’t downplay it, but to be honest, we’re trying to bring components to areas where we want to create pop very frankly.”

The Novell Lions Head Project, which will be deliberated by the Planning Committee on Thursday, is currently recommended to be postponed.
